Professional Volunteers for our Animals
We are frequently seeking professional and experienced vet nurses or vets who would be willing to volunteer at our center to help with the care of our animals. This includes our sun bears, macaques, cats, dogs and any other wildlife we might have under our care brought in by concerned public.

Each year we need around 15.000 euro to assist with the sun bear management (medical, food) and other operational costs and enclosure/holding repairs for the sun bears. This year we planning build a new enclosure for new sun bear cub Chand.
Chand arrived at KWPLH as a tiny cub in July 2014. She had been caught in a snare and her paw was very damaged, missing two digits and very infected. As such a small cub, she still needs intensive care, and unfortunately maybe more of her small paw will need to be amputated. We hope to build an extension to Pedro’s cage for Chand and hope to integrate them when Chand is a bit stronger and settled in.
