Anna
Female
Anna is currently the only adult female sun bear at the center, and she has many admirers. Anna is very healthy and has escaped serious injuries during her illegal captivity. She also arrived at the center in 2004. Although she is the smallest bear, she dominates over all the males. Batik and Harris are her good friends. Our new sub adult bear, Bedu, is quite afraid of Anna, who seems less interested in this young playful and goofy bear. Hopefully she will grow to like him.

Anna is the smallest bear at KWPLH, weighing only 30 kg or 66 lbs.
Background
Anna and Bennie arrived together. They had been kept in a loud restaurant as an attraction to draw customers.
Character
Originally Anna was very shy and nervous. Strangers scared her, as did loud or sudden noises. Imagine how awful the restaurant must have been for her! Since moving into the enclosure, Anna has become much calmer and is now one of the more dominant bears. She sometimes bosses Harris and Bennie around and likes to bully Bedu, our sub-adult male bear who arrived in 2012.
Hobbies
Anna is a great climber and acrobat. She is a keen forager and can find even the most well-hidden treats.
