Donations are an important source of funding, especially for all our sun bear and other animal work. A part of the operational costs of the center are covered by local government funds (wages of staff), but our animal care and further development of educational facilities depend 100% on donations and fundraising.

Animal food (dog, cat, kitten, dog chow is also given to the bears!)
Flea medication, worming tablets, misc. ointments (If you are traveling overseas or are donating from overseas, please contact us for a more complete list of needed medications. Most of our necessities are available in Western countries over the counter)
Leads/leashes
Towels and other fabrics for animal bedding
Food dishes/water bowls
Toys

Going on a trip overseas? We frequently need supplies from foreign countries. Let us know when and where you are going and we will arrange for supplies to be sent to your destination for you to carry back to Balikpapan. We also deeply appreciate donations of pet supplies from overseas such as medications, treats, and toys.
Publicity Team
Supporter Groups
We are currently looking for individuals or small groups of people to work on publicity and possibly fund raising for KWPLH. These tasks could be completed either at our offices or off-site, at the home of the interested party. This role can be adapted to fit your skills and interests.
Professional Volunteers for Our Animals
Overseas Veterinary Volunteer Opportunities
We are frequently seeking professional and experienced vet nurses or vets who would be willing to volunteer at our center to help with the care of our animals. This includes our sun bears, macaques, cats, dogs and any other wildlife we might have under our care brought in by concerned public.
We offer free accommodation for the vet volunteers. Let us know!
